Summer favorite Cascade Hampton is a cool and silky soft blend of Pima cotton and linen that is ideal for warm weather knits. The plied DK weight yarn knits or crochets into soft tees, tanks, cardigans and summery wraps.
Fiber: 70% Pima cotton, 30% Linen
Weight: Light/DK
Weight/yardage= 100 g/273 yards
Gauge: 5.5-6 stitches per inch on US 5-6 needles (3.75-4mm)
Machine wash cool, lay flat to dry.

I used this for an adult sweater. It was easy knitting, much different than knitting with linen or cotton, nice combination. Per the care instructions, I laid it flat to dry. In a very sunny and hot sunroom. I lost patience as I really wanted to wear it. So I threw it in the dryer on low heat for 15 minutes. The sweater emerged as the softest, most wonderful garment. I am totally in love with the feel of the fabric. I will most likely continue to care for it this way and will report back at the end of summer to see if there is a reason to not do this since it’s not what the manufacturer recommends. I will definitely use this again.

This yarn is not visually appealing at all as a skein and gets ignored for that reason…but start knitting with it and you’ll immediately change your mind. Lovely to knit with and when it’s washed it just gets softer. Will definitely use it again!
