Spinning 101

Description:
Curious about learning to spin?  Want a chance to try it before making the decision to buy a wheel?  Have a spinning wheel but don't know how to use it?  Take Spinning 101!

You will learn how to use a spinning wheel; the basics about different fibers, and practice on the shop spinning wheels.  Fiber is provided.

Prerequisite Skills:
​ Key Techniques Taught: 
  • Parts of the wheel
  • Basics of fiber
  • How to hold the fiber
  • How to feed the fiber into the wheel
  • How to ply several threads together 
Materials:
  • Just you!  The shop will provide the wheels, fiber, etc.
Class Size:  Maximum of five students
Cost:  $40.00
Instructor:  Maurine Bunce, Store Owner.
