We are very pleased to announce that Claude Monet joins the world of Opal Sweater and Sock yarn.

Oscar-Claude Monet was born in Paris on the 14th November 1840. His early work, which included the work “impression, Sunrise’, gave his name the entire movement of Impressionism. The visible reality loses its corporeality and the representation of the light and the mood become the main painterly task. He is considered an exceptional artist who has shaped a whole epoch.

His most important stages of life were Paris, Le Havre and Giverny, here he died on 5th December 1926. His main subjects include the haystacks, water lilies, travel pictures of Venice, London and Norway and motifs of his beloved garden in Giverny. “The beauty of the atmosphere between the object and the artist” – as Monet called it, we have captured from eight of his artworks and converted to our Opal Sweater- and Sock yarn. Monets colorings are wonderful foundation for your lovely needlework. Engage the mood that arises between you and the colors of our Opal Claude Monet.
