These are the traditional hats from Peru and Scandinavian countries made to cover the ears in cold climates. The outer layer is made from 100% alpaca, one of the warmest fibers in the world. The inner fleece makes this hat even warmer, and prevents the embroidery from snagging. Most of these hats were woven in Peru.
